Training in Public Procurement in the Western Balkans and Turkey(EuropeAid/129724/C/SER/Multi)

The European Commission is the Contracting Authority. The direct beneficiaries of the project are: procurement officers and trainers, public administration bodies/institutions, civil servants, private sector operators.

The project budget is 4.000.000 € and the project duration is 24 months.

The project content is as follows:

The purpose of the contract is to contribute towards upgrading the operational performance and professionalism within the public procurement systems in candidate countries and potential candidates, in line with EU legislation and practices.

Activities to be developed include: 1) Training of approximately 150-180 trainers; 2) Support to training at national level in each Beneficiary, including development of a national training strategy on public procurement; adaptation of training materials in each Beneficiary to national legislation and practice (including translation); setting-up of an on-line helpdesk and an on-line course system; 3) Accreditation of procurement trainers.

Note: The implementation of the training project will be based on a comprehensive training package developed by SIGMA, a joint initiative of the European Union and the OECD.

The Consortium with PLANET S.A. as a leader and BiP Solutions Ltd, The Crown Agents for Oversea Governments & Administration and SOFRECO as partners belongs to the list of 8 short-listed candidates selected out of 18 received applications.
