PLANET has been short-listed for the project:

“Azerbaijan-Baku: ENI — EU support to vocational education and training (VET) in Azerbaijan” (EuropeAid/137866/IH/SER/AZ)

European Union, represented by the European Commission, on behalf of and for the account of the Ministry of Education, Baku, AZERBAIJAN is the Contracting Authority.

The project budget is 3.250.00 € and the project duration is 33 months.

Project Details

This project will support the ongoing reforms within the vocational education and training (VET) sector in Azerbaijan through the provision of technical assistance. The access to and quality of VET will be improved, contributing to better opportunities for lifelong learning (LLL). The project will help strengthen the capacity of human resources in the VET sector. At the same time, the project will help the Ministry of Education improve the VET policy and regulatory framework by promoting lifelong learning opportunities and activating the participation of social partners. Assistance will be provided in developing and introducing VET qualifications and curricula linked to occupational standards in priority sectors. The project will also support the Ministry of Education in the monitoring of projects in the field of VET, which are funded by the EU or other donors; as well as with the establishment of a regular monitoring system of the whole VET sector.

The purposes (specific objectives) of this contract are as follows:

  • to improve VET policy and regulatory framework, thereby promoting lifelong learning opportunities and activating participation of social partners,
  • to improve VET multi-level management system and governance including sector coordination at the central and local level of the Ministry of Education,
  • to develop VET qualifications (educational standards) and curricula linked to occupational standards and introduce them in priority sectors,
  • to support the Ministry of Education in the monitoring of VET sector reforms.

 

The Consortium with Enaip Piemonte (IT) as leader, in consortium with PLANET S.A. (GR) and FCG International Ltd (FI) as partners, belongs to the list of 8 short-listed candidates selected out of 22 received applications.
