“Hydro-pumped storage in Greece – Amfilochia” a flagship project for Terna Energy – since it has been acknowledged as a Project of Common Interest by the European Commission and a Strategic Investment by the Greek Authorities – has concluded its first and most significant phase, that of the main and detailed design.  Further to that and more importantly the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment Study has been given the green light by the relevant Authorities, and thus the required Environmental Terms have been issued. The design phase is co-financed by the European Union under CEF ENERGY (Connecting Europe Facility).

PLANET has been supporting TERNA Energy throughout the implementation of this first phase which lasted more than two years, providing project management services, coordination of the whole design team as well as development of the successful awareness campaign that ensured the project’s fruitful outcome so far.

Of course, the successful completion of the first phase is also due to the excellent cooperation between TERNA Energy and PLANET, two leading Greek companies, each in their field, that aim to continue their collaboration in the promotion of clean energy projects in the near future.
