Transformation

The project aimed to support the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Water Administration, along with Albania’s two key food safety laboratories (FSVI and NFA), to improve food safety across the entire food chain.

The leading Greek systemic Bank at the time, while being listed to a major international Stock Exchange was asked to improve significantly major and critical aspects of its business model, namely giving priority to the Credit Function and the Branch Network.

The Greek Ministry of Tourism, with support from the European Commission’s Structural Reform Support Programme (DG REFORM), initiated a mission to drive institutional, administrative, and structural reform in tourism education.

As all European Banks, Greek systemic banks had also to deal with the significant issue of the huge Non Performing Exposures (NPEs) accumulating in their Balance Sheets, harming their key financial ratios and threatening their viability as a result of the global financial crisis of the late 2000s.
