Project Outline
As part of the Green Riyadh initiative, this project focuses on designing a Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) distribution network to provide sustainable irrigation water for urban landscaping. The Lot 2 (West System) network is a crucial component of Riyadh’s efforts to expand green spaces, reduce reliance on freshwater, and promote environmental sustainability.
Riyadh's ambitious greening initiative requires a reliable and sustainable water source to support large-scale urban afforestation. The challenge lies in efficiently utilizing TSE for irrigation while ensuring optimal hydraulic performance, minimizing water loss, and meeting stringent environmental standards.
The network is designed as a hydraulically independent segment, ensuring reliable water distribution while optimizing efficiency in irrigation practices.
Our Role
Our team provides end-to-end technical support, covering:
- Preliminary & Detailed Design – Developing a robust and efficient TSE distribution system to meet the city’s sustainability goals.
- Tender Documentation – Preparing comprehensive tender documents to ensure clear project specifications and procurement standards.
- Tendering Support – Managing the procurement process to attract competitive offers from qualified contractors.
- Tendering Evaluation – Ensuring the selection of the most suitable contractor through a transparent assessment process.
By leveraging our expertise in infrastructure planning and hydraulic engineering, we ensure the project meets the highest technical and environmental standards. This structured approach guarantes that the TSE distribution network is designed and executed to the highest standards, supporting Riyadh’s sustainability objectives and water management strategies.
By enabling efficient water reuse, this project lays the foundation for a greener, more sustainable Riyadh.
Outcomes
The successful implementation of the TSE distribution network will::
- Support the Green Riyadh Initiative: Providing a sustainable source of irrigation water, crucial for the success of the city’s extensive greening program.
- Optimise Water Resource Management: Enhancing water reuse efficiency and reducing dependency on freshwater resources, contributing to environmental sustainability.
- Promote Urban Sustainability: Enabling the creation of green urban spaces that improve air quality, reduce urban heat, and enhance the quality of life for Riyadh’s residents.
- Ensure Cost-Effective Implementation: Through detailed design and rigorous tender evaluation, the project ensured value for investment and high-quality construction outcomes.
Through innovative engineering and sustainable water solutions, this project plays a pivotal role in Riyadh’s transformation into a greener and more resilient city.
