The 3rd Greece–Cyprus | Strategic Horizons Forum, organised by BOUSSIAS, took place on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, bringing together representatives from government, institutions, and the business community of Greece and Cyprus. Among the speakers was PLANET, contributing to the dialogue on ESG and sustainable development.
During the Forum, Constantinos Calogirou, Senior Director – Enterprises Business Unit Leader at PLANET, delivered a presentation titled “Climate Change & ESG as an Investment and Development Advantage,” highlighting key considerations shaping the future of businesses and financing.
In his remarks, Mr. Calogirou emphasised two critical dimensions of ESG:
Its role as a common reference framework, enhancing transparency and facilitating alignment between companies and investors/financiers.
The risk of ESG becoming a compliance exercise, when approached merely as reporting rather than being embedded into an organisation’s strategy, operations, and value-creation model.
He noted that meaningful ESG integration can serve as a driver of resilience, competitiveness, and sustainable growth, particularly in an environment where expectations from investors, institutions, and society continue to rise.
For PLANET, sustainability is a strategic priority and a core element of our advisory approach. Through a comprehensive methodology, we support organisations in transitioning toward models that link sustainable development with long-term value creation.
By participating in the Strategic Horizons Forum, PLANET reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the public dialogue on how climate action, corporate governance, and sustainability can become practical development tools for organisations and economies.
