PLANET has been short-listed for the project:

Support to the EU Delegation to Armenia and the Ministry of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia for preparation of actions in regional development

European Union, represented by the European Commission on behalf of and for the account of the Republic of Armenia is the Contracting Authority.

The project budget is 1.500.000 EUR

Project Details

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to accelerated socio-economic development, greater resilience and sustainability of regions of Armenia — in general and in relation to the capital city of Yerevan. The project supports internal economic, social and territorial cohesion of the country.

The project will provide technical advice and support to secure effective management and implementation of Armenia regional development strategy and action plan by increasing institutional capacity of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of the Republic of Armenia. The project will also provide support to the EU Delegation to Armenia in formulating new actions in regional development.

Under 3 specific objectives of the project, the contracted TA consultants will provide technical advice and capacity building support, as follows:

Objective 1: secure programmatic and institutional reforms in line with the Armenian regional development strategy and action plan of 2016;
Objective 2: support regional development funding mechanism, including support to the MTAD and respective line ministries in management and development of funding provided by the central budget to RD actions;
Objective 3: promote regional development projects pipelines and support capacities of subnational actors to design and deliver needs-based and impact-oriented actions in regional and local development.

The Consortium with PLANET S.A. (GR) as leader, in consortium with ANVENSA CONSULTING Ltd and INCOM Ltd as partners, belongs to the list of the 4 short-listed candidates.
