PLANET among the key note speakers of the Hellenic-African Chamber event on EU funding

Petros Katsis, Partner of PLANET and Athanasia Karachristou, PLANET Business Acquisition Coordinator were among the key note speakers of the “Financial Opportunities for Greek companies under Programs of EU Development Assistance in Africa” forum organized by the Hellenic-African Chamber of Commerce and Development with the support of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) on the 23th of May at SEV premises.

The aim of the event was to inform businesses on available funding opportunities through the European Development / EFF Fund (European Development Fund / EDF).  Attendees of the event included business representatives, government officials and stakeholder from various organizations.

PLANET, as a sound managing consultancy worldwide, with strong presence in Africa (counting more than 100 projects in 45 of the 54 countries in sub-Saharan Africa funded by the European Union) focused on the EU Funding Opportunities in the African countries, and presented detailed information on policies concerning Africa, cooperation agreements of interest and current tendering procedures. Furthermore, as experts in the region PLANET officials did not neglect to outline European Tendering Market characteristics in Africa.

Other speakers of the event included Mr. Constantine Bitsios, Vice President of SEV, Mr. Sotiris Moussouris, President of the Hellenic-African Chamber, Ms. Helen Nicolaidou and Mr. Lucian Clint from the Geographic Policy and Strategic Planning DG of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Kostas Papapanagiotou, Deputy Director General of Export Credit Insurance Organization.
